The big day was filled with gorgeous, elegant features from the stunning, vintage Studebaker to the golden chandeliers to Felisha’s divine and stunning two wedding dresses. One she wore trough the ceremony, second during reception. Her full bridal bouquet with budding pink and white roses and hanging eucalyptus leaves, gathered gracefully with a glittering, heart-shaped key charm.
Outshining this splendor though, were the thoughtful, personal touches Felisha and Christopher added. The bridesmaids had a pre-wedding toast out on the porch with cozy, matching bridesmaid robes, sparkling earrings and monogrammed wine glasses. The groomsman would not be outdone and celebrated with a nice bottle of Crown Royal XO, cigars and monogrammed glasses. All were gifts from the couple, a truly thoughtful gesture to bring bride and groom together with their bridal party before the festivities began.
Felisha and Christopher also included their own personal mementos to carry with them down the aisle. Felisha wore a sentimental ring from her grandmother (who has passed), and Christopher gently tucked away a keepsake handkerchief from when he was born.
Bringing the past into the ceremony and now celebrating their new future together, you could feel the warmth and love the couple has for their family and friends, but more importantly for each other. Their joy and grace throughout the day was natural, just like the warm and sultry weather of this southern day in May, with soft light dancing off the Spanish moss welcoming their new union. We couldn’t have had a more beautiful day to celebrate their wedding. Their bridal portraits were absolutely stunning over the most beautiful sunset at the Plantation.
As Felisha and Christopher joined to cut through the 3-tiered wedding cake with cascading Magnolias, you couldn’t help but think…Love, Laughter and Happily Everafter…that’s what it’s all about! There is nothing more beautiful than witnessing and being part of much happiness of new family beginning under the bless of God, and two families turning into one. They danced all night out and made an extravagant exit on a vintage Bentley owned by his brother.
